This weekend was another low key weekend just trying to come up with things to do since it's pretty cold outside. I got some puzzles out for the boys to do and they both love this alphabet puzzle. Evan can do it over and over.
The best thing about the weather being cold is cuddling up on the couch together and watching a movie. I've been trying to be careful about not letting the boys watch too much tv, we don't have it on in the background anymore, but it's nice to watch something when we're stuck inside a lot.
Friday afternoon it was calling for rain, so we went out around lunchtime to get a little fresh air before nap time. It was freezing and we were only out there for about 15-20 minutes, but the boy had a lot of fun.
Evan wanted me to sit next to him.
Over the weekend, we did the same routine of going to Chick-Fil-A and Taco Bell to let the boys play in the indoor playground, watching movies, playing with cars, doing puzzles, coloring, making forts, etc.
This boy did not want to wear any clothes when he woke up, he ran around all morning in just a diaper and then when we got back from the store, he didn't want to take his coat off and decided to play in it.
Carter was "reading" Goodnight Moon to Evan and every time he got done, Evan would say "again, again" it was so sweet.
A picture of the boys at the Taco Bell/KFC playground. It's so tall and the boys are barely tall enough to climb it, so it takes a lot of work and they really wear themselves out--and have a blast. I wish more places had indoor playgrounds, like Subway or Panera--or Starbucks. That would be nice, letting the kids play while you drink coffee.
We have some indoor places we want to go, but they're a little bit of a drive and lately it's always calling for freezing rain or snow. We're going to try and go this weekend, if it doesn't snow. Hopefully, we will have something more interesting to blog about next weekend. ;)
