10 Years

Here's an old school picture of Greg and I when we first started dating!

Greg and I celebrated our 10 years anniversary together on Friday, April 24th. We've been married for 3 years, but together for 10. We drove up to D.C. and spent the night in a hotel. We were going to meet up with one of Greg's old army buddies, but it didn't work out. So, we enjoyed the free drinks at the hotel happy hour and played with our new camera. It was nice and low key. The best part is reminiscing. It's so much fun to think about all the fun things we've done in the 10 years we've known each other. I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Right now we're getting ready for our trip to Florida to see our good friend, Brian. He's in the air force and he's stationed down there for about another month or so and then he's off to Clovis, New Mexico. So, we wanted to go visit him before he moved. I'm looking forward to it, it's the first time Greg and I have been to Florida together.
Tomorrow we're taking Izzie to an Animal Eye Specialist for her eye. She been having problems with her eyelid turning inwards which makes the hair scratch her cornea, so we have to drive and hour and a half away to a specialist in Richmond. Tomorrow is the initial consult for them to take a look at her and for us to schedule surgery. I'm kinda embarrassed to even be blogging about this. It's so boring and makes us look like crazy cat people, but I figured I'd go ahead and bring it up since I'm sure I'll be complaining about the cost of the surgery in a future blog.
A few other things- my friend Emily found out she is having a baby boy and she's naming him Aiden Christopher! I'm so excited to be able to finally buy outfits and get things personalized. I'm so happy for her. And one of my oldest friends Brandi who's living in Hollywood ran into a boy she dated in middle school in Sierra Vista, Arizona back in 97! Now they're both in Hollywood and having a great time--what a small world!

Spider Invasion!

So, about 6-8 hours ago I posted a blog about 2 spiders, since then we've seen 3 spiders in our house! After seeing the big, fat one on the deck, I was worried sick. I kept feeling like there were spiders crawling all over me. An hour or so after seeing the 2nd one, Greg saw one by the couch. I never saw that one, so I keep telling myself it was a tiny, tiny, spider. Then, about an hour after that we saw a a pretty big skinny one in the kitchen just dangling from the ceiling. Ugh, it was awful. At that point, I was really scared to be in the living room or kitchen. It seemed like they liked the back wall of our house, so I wasn't scared of seeing them in the rest of the house. I went to the garage to get some sodas out of the fridge we have out there and my foot starts itching and burning. I look down and about an inch away from my foot is a spider that's as big as my palm!! Greg killed it seconds after I started screaming, but I'm am so freaked out right now, I can't stand it. I feel like they're everywhere, and they're not normal tiny house spiders --they're HUGE, SCARY spiders--and they're EVERYWHERE!! The bug sprayer can't come out until 2:00 on Tuesday! 64 more hours?! I don't know if I can last until then. I feel so freaked out and paranoid, I keep feeling like there are spiders on me. UGH--it's so awful. :( I hate spiders.

Changes

I've been looking at other people's blogs online and have decided that mine needs a major overhaul. It's so boring, I'm going to work on it this weekend and hopefully have a cute, new blog layout with more pictures in the next couple of days.

Spiders!

So, I came home yesterday to find this! He is freakin' huge! He looks like a baby trantula. Greg wasn't home so I had to kill him all by myself. (which was quite the ordeal) We called around to find somebody to come spray the house and everybody requires you to sign a year contract that ends up costing more than 300.00 f0r the year. I couldn't believe how much it was, but this spider was too big not to do it. All I've been thinking about since then was spiders, I feel like they're crawling all over me. When we got home today and opened up the back door there was another one that was big and fat like this one crawling on the deck, so now I'll probably be freaked out the whole weekend. The bug sprayer can't come out until Tuesday, I don't know how I'm going to make it. I really hope we don't see another one of these.

Pole Dancing

Tonight is my first night of pole dancing class. Yep--pole dancing. The girls at work were looking for a fun workout class that we could do together since we're all participating in The Biggest Loser contest at work. We all belong to different gyms so it was hard to find an aerobics or yoga class that we could all do together, so one of the nurses suggested a belly dancing or pole dancing class at a local dance studio, Shergold Studio (http://www.efitdance.com/). The beginning pole dancing class was the first one to start so me and two other girls signed up for a 10 week class that's every Wednesday night at 8:30. Tonight is our first class and I'm so nervous. We had to come up with "stripper" names to use in class--mine is Foxy Roxy and the other two girls are Mercedes and Miss Pris. We all signed up at work and when the doctors found out we had to come up with names they had a long list of suggestions in just minutes! Hmmm... So, I will definitely keep you posted on how this class goes.

Greg and I have been busy painting the house this past month. We painted the dining room and started on the living room. We have lots of little projects we're going to try and get done this weekend. We're trying to get the house in order because my parents and my sister, Caroline are coming to visit for Easter weekend. I'm so excited. They haven't come out to visit since last July. I really hope the weather is nice Easter weekend, it's been so cold and rainy lately.
We finally got our plane tickets for Florida. We are going out to see my good friend from high school, Brian. He has lived in Florida for almost 2 years and recently got orders (he's in the Air Force) to move to New Mexico at the end of May, so we wanted to go out and visit him before he moves. We going out the first weekend in May and I'm very excited. I'm looking forward to warm weather and drinks on the beach.
