Mum Mums & Puffs

We decided last week that the boys seemed like they were ready to try some finger foods. Our pediatrician said to start with finger foods when the boys were able to use a "pincer grasp" and both boys have been doing that. I was excited to try something new and I figured it might distract them and take their minds off being sick.
We gave them some Super Puffs in blueberry & purple sweet potato flavor and some Baby Mum-Mum crackers in vegetable flavor.
Here's what Carter thought of the Super Puffs, you can see it in his lips, he doesn't even want to put it in his mouth.
Here's Carter with the Baby Mum Mum cracker, you can see the purple mess the puffs left all over his face.
Trying the first bite.
Not feeling it.

Evan did better. He actually took the cracker and bit it.
Mmm....
Not sure what to think.
Such a big boy, but look at his face, he doesn't look like he likes it. :(
Some more of Evan looking and biting.

So, it didn't go as well as I had hoped. I don't know if they just didn't like the flavors of what we were giving them or if they're just apprehensive about eating something that's not soft and mushy. We'll try it again soon and see how it goes. If they don't like it after a couple more times, we'll try some other finger foods.
