Project 365-Catch Up (2/5-2/23)

So,  I came down with the same thing that Evan and Carter had, so I'm really behind on blogging. I finally uploaded the pictures from my phone and camera onto my computer and went through them so I could post these for my Project 365. I wanted to get caught up with that and tonight, I'll try and get caught up on blogging.

I don't know why a couple of these are sideways, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

This is a puzzle that we got from Goodwill (more on that later) for 95 cents!!!

Poor sick Carter at the doctor's office the first time.

Letting him play on daddy's computer.

In the ER.

Carter, feeling better the next day and enjoying a snack at the Target Starbucks.

Finally getting a little Evan time after taking care of Carter while he was sick.

Cute Valentine's Day cards from their godmother, Brandi.

Greg got the boys some matchbox cars and they LOVE them.

The boys are still obsessed with shoes, they love to weat them in the mornings with their pajamas.

At the doctor with Evan on Valentine's day.

Letting the boys play with some tub paint I got at Walmart for them.

This gate was to keep them out of the tv area, they found away in and this is how I found them. So sneaky!

We made an early morning trip to Harris Teeter and the sweet cashier gave the boys balloons. They played with these all day.

The boys on the day they turned 18 months. I cannot believe they are now closer to being two than one. Crazy!

Greg took this picture, this was the first of two whole days that he took care of the boys all by himself because I was sick.

We got about 4-5 inches of snow and it was so pretty.

And then as fast as it came, it was gone.

This is the only picture I managed to take on the 22nd, we went to World Market to pick up this neat toy I saw for the boys (it's for their 3rd birthday--I'm a little OCD with the planning) and I saw this and thought of Brandi and was going to text her a pic of it to see if she's tried it. Who knew it'd be the picture I'd have to use for Project 365.

Our first time out on the back patio we had done around Valentine's day.

I have NO idea how I managed to get a picture every day with the way things have been going, but I'm so glad I did. Even if they weren't the best pictures, I'm still that much closer to reaching my goal of finally completing Project 365.

Project 365 Week 3

This week has been exhausting, I didn't do very good with my project 365. I took a picture every day, but they weren't good pictures. Hopefully, I'll do better nextw eek.

We hit some really good sales and stocked up on coffee for my Keurig. This raspberry chocolate flavor is a seasonal flavor and I got the last two boxes Target had. Kohl's was already sold out.

Carter throwing a tantrum. It's been that kind of week, you'll see from the other pictures.

This is the day that I read up on aperature and tried out some new settings on my camera.

I think the boys look so handsome in their polo shirts, this is an instagram picture from my iphone.

Yes, this is gross, but it's the ONLY picture I took for the entire day. I was trying to get a picture of his black eye. The snot does help convey how my week was going.

I got out some stuff to donate to a yard sale at the church and the boppies were some of the items that I was donating. Evan decided to make himself comfortable. I thought he look so cute.

And this picture pretty much sums up the ENTIRE week. It's been a rough one. Some days are just going to be harder than others and this week was full of them. I'm SO happy that it's the weekend and I'm able to recharge a little bit.

Project 365-Week 2

Well, I finshed another week of Project 365. I'm glad that I've taken a picture every day, but I'm disappointed in the pictures I've taken. I've taken some that I feel reflect our day and have meaning, but most of the ones I've taken haven't. I also need to really work on taking better pictures as far as lighting, clarity, etc. Taking better quality pictures is going to take some time, but my goal this week is to take more meaningful pictures that tell a story or represent our day somehow.

The cream cheese spaghetti I made for dinner, I feel like this was the best picture I took of my recipes this week, too bad it was my least favorite recipe. :(

First snow of the winter.

Bedtime Stories

After our MOPs playgroup, while loading Carter in the car, Evan got away, ran into the field next to the parking lot and fell in the mud. None of the parks we go to have dirt, they all have mulch and this is the boys' first pair of muddy/dirty jeans.

My sock bun fail. Looked so cute and simple online, looked more rat's nest than cute on me, need to practice some more.

Evan played with this pirate ship for probably half an hour today. If I went into another room for something, he'd pick it up and follow me, sit down and continue playing. It was really cute to see him slow down and concentrate on something for so long.

Project 365-Week 1

One of my 30 Before 30 goals was to complete project 365. I've been wanting to do this for a couple of years, and I actually started it one year, but didn't do it for more than a few days. I'm very committed this time and it's much easier since I take pictures most days anyways. I'm hoping to get a chance to read my "Nikon D60 For Dummies" book and take some time and read up on some photography tips on the internet. I think once I can use my camera and photo editing software, this project will be a lot of fun. I wanted a way to save all my picures and decided to do a 365 post every Saturday with the pictures I took throughout the week. I've seen lots of weekly topics to take pictures of as well as monthly challenges with a topic each day to take a picture of and I may participate in some of those as the project goes one to keep it interesting for me.

I'd like the pictures to be reflective of our life this year and I'll try not to have each week be just pictures of Evan and Carter.
