Killing Time and a Little More Snow

Friday, we had to take our van in to get service, so we put the car seats in Greg's car and went off to try and kill time until we could pick the van up. We started at Chick-Fil-A. The boys wanted to keep their hats on and I know this is a blurry picture, but I thought they looked so funny with their hats while playing.

We had a coupon for a free yogurt parfait, so we got that for the boys. They loved it so much, that we had to get a second one. You had an option of cookie or granola to mix in and we chose cookies for the boys. Evan loved it, but Carter preferred his yogurt plain with just the strawberries.

Then, we went downtown to the Children's Museum and played for a little bit. We called and our van still wasn't ready, so we went home and took naps.

We finally ended up picking up our van around 5:00 and it still wasn't 100% ready, we have to take it back. I love Honda vehicles, but I cannot stand having to get a car serviced, it always takes forever, costs more than you think it will, etc. However, they have a children's waiting area and the boys were the only ones in there. They played for a little bit and then turned on the tv and a Scooby Doo movie was on. They've never seen Scooby Doo and they were in a trance. I almost wanted to stay there longer and let them watch it while I relaxed. ;)

Saturday morning was a lazy morning. We were going to travel about an hour away to go to a Book Fair, but the drive just didn't seem worth it Saturday morning and we decided to just relax instead.

Of course, there's only so much relaxing you can do with toddlers, so we decided to head to the park. It was a lot warmer than it had been the past couple of days and we took them to a park that we expected to be dry. We figured most of the snow would have melted here, but we were wrong. The boys still had fun.

There wasn't too much snow, and they were still able to play on the equipment just fine. It wasn't cold, so it was weird being in light jackets and there being snow on the ground.

A boy bigger than Evan decided to throw a snowball at him, which made Evan so happy! He started laughing and picked on up and threw it back. I don't think the other boy was expecting Evan to have such good aim and started crying when the snowball hit him in the chin. Oops.

The snow is so pretty. It ended up being kind of nice that the snow hadn't completely melted yet. I hated going on on Wednesday when it was knee deep and messy, this was a perfect way for the boys to play a little bit in it without it being so cold and messy.
