What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's been several weeks since I've linked up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday, and I'm excited to get a chance to do it today.

I'm loving the free $25.00 Gap giftcard that I got for FREE, just for saving the codes off my huggies boxes. You save the codes, enter them online and use them to order free stuff from the rewards catalog. It's that easy. I didn't start saving the codes until the boy were almost a  year old. I hate thinking of all the free stuff I could have earned that first year.

I'm loving Buffalo Chicken Salads. I'm pretty sure I've put this one on here before, but we're seriously addicted. We still have them at least twice a week, usually more. Lettuce, cherry tomatoes, croutons, chicken, bleu cheese crumbles, light ranch and Frank's Red Hot---Yum!!!

I'm loving this warm weather we've been having in February. We've had several sunny days that we've been able to take the boys outside, which makes cold rainy days like the one we're having today not seem so bad.

I'm loving the new season of Survivor. I did not like them bringing back two veteran players and I did not like redemption island and they're not doing either this season, so I'm happy. My favorite player so far is Chelsea, I hope she does well.

I'm loving this new iced coffee from International Delight. I had a coupon, it was on sale, and the store I got it at was having a double coupon promotion, so I got paid 55 cents to try it! It's not something I'd drink everyday, but it's nice to have on hand when you feel like an iced coffee but don't feel like driving to Starbucks and paying $4.00.

I'm loving the delete and unsubscribe button on Facebook. People have lost their minds on there lately. I love Facebook and use it to get in touch with old friends, see what people are up to, I love when people post pictures and funny stories about their kids, links to interesting articles, talk about how well they're doing on their New Year's Resolutions, etc. What I don't like is the guy who posts offensive, political crap EVERY 30 minutes, you know the one who thinks everybody who doesn't think like him is an idiot--delete! The girl that's having drama with her family or boyfriend but doesn't want to say something to them directly so she posts stuff like "I'm done with you, I've been putting up with your crap for too long, blah, blah blah" That's what messages are for--delete! Or the girl that posts vague statuses like "I can't believe that just happened" which is annoying but then somebody will ask "what happened" and they'll say "I don't want to talk about it" Really? Delete! So, I'm going on a deleting/unsubscribing spree today. Can't wait. ;)

I'm loving the new Gem nail polish from Sally Hansen. It's so pretty and glittery! I'm going to get a couple more in different colors, flip flop season is coming up!
I'm also loving that I have a dentist appointment today. I hate going to the dentist, but I do love the car ride to the dentist all by myself, listening to whatever I want on the radio. Maybe they'll be behind and I can sit in the waiting room and read a magazine and relax. ;) Ah, a relaxing half hour to myself.

What are you loving this Wednesday?

Weekend Recap

We enjoyed a low key, relaxed weekend. It was our last weekend for awhile that we had completely open. We have a couple of little things planned for the upcoming weekends, and then we have some visitors (Greg's parents, followed by my friend, Brandi) coming in March, so we're very excited about that. It was sunny and not too cold, so we tried to take advantage with some outdoor time this weekend.

Greg was supposed to have Friday off, but ended up working a half day. I still consider our weekend starting on Thursday when he got off. The weather was gorgeous, so we took the boys in the back yard to push them on the swings. It was the first time we got to use our new patio. I'm so glad to have it done, I think we're going to get a lot of use out of it. Next on our project list is getting a fence, which we hope to have in the next couple of weeks.

Carter pushing Evan in the swing while Greg adjusted Carter's swing. Evan thought it was so funny.

So cute!

The boys love swinging!

A look at our new patio under the deck. They tore up our yard while laying the concrete, so that's why there's straw everywhere. I can't wait to get some toys and furniture to put on it so it doesn't look so bare. Greg also has some plans to paint some of the deck, so I'm excited for that.

After pushing the boys on the swings, we took them for a quick walk around the neighborhood in the wagon. They really seemed to enjoy getting outside.

Carter, refusing to look at the camera.

Friday, we got caught up on some stuff around the house. It ended up looking like it could rain in the afternoon, so we went by the mall and let the boys burn off some energy in the play area and then ran a few errands. That night we rented Paranormal Activity 3, which I really enjoyed. We haven't been to the movie theater in forever, so there's a lot of movies out on DVD that we want to see.

The boys are definitely best buds now. They are totally monkey see, monkey do--to the extreme! I love it when I catch them sitting next to each other or playing really nice together. Melts my heart.

Saturday, Greg got a door from Lowes and installed it. We had a cat door installed in one of our doors and we needed to replace it. I ran to Target during the boys nap and did a little shopping. We went to the gym, played with the boys and then watched "Contagion" after the boys went to bed. Contagion was super scary and totally freaked me out.

This was the only picture I took Saturday.

Sunday, we slept late and then took the boys to the park followed by lunch at Taco Bell. We haven't been to this park in a long time and it's been awhile since Greg's been to the park with the boys, so it was fun to see what all they could do now. They seem to be so much older now than they were in the fall when we brought them here. I'm so glad the weather was nice enough to get outside. It was a little chilly, but clear and sunny, so we just bundled up and had a great time.

We bundled the boys up in fleece lined jeans and hoodies.

This picture of Carter cracks me up. They worked up an appetite at the park, we had to give them Cheerios until the food came, they were hungry!

Photo Dump

I've taken several pictures over the past couple of weeks that I wanted to post, and I few that I took to blog about but never got around to it, so this is a photo dump/random, catch up blog post. It'll be all over the place. Mostly, it'll be pictures of the boys that I wanted to upload.

I took the boys to Old Navy right before I got sick and got them some clothes for spring/summer. They are completely out of hand-me downs and gifts that I got at my baby shower, so I got to start from scratch with their wardrobe. It's been so fun picking out clothes for them. I got some things from Crazy 8, Gymboree, Kohl's, Old Navy, and Target. I have a few more things to get them so they're set for warm weather.
I thought a lot of these things would like nice for church, too. I definitely love the preppy look, lots of khakis, polo shirts, and plaid shorts.

The boys each got a balloon from the grocery store one day when we went and they played with those things ALL day. They loved them! Here's Carter taking a break, but he had to have his balloon with him.
(the pictures are out of order)

Greg with the boys at the play area in the mall. I needed to get a couple of things, so they stayed here while I shopped. I love this arrangement, we'll definitely be doing this more often.

I was sweeping one morning and Evan got my broom and started sweeping too. He laughed and laughed, so of course, Carter wanted in on the action. I went and got him a mop and they had the best time.

Harris Teeter was doing their "Super Double Days" where they double coupons up to 1.98, I took advantage and ran there during the boys nap and stocked up. I got all this for about $35.00.

I picked up this local magazine that has local events and information and Carter started saying "dog" and pointing at it, He had to have it. They both love dogs.

Finally done with the catch up stuff from being sick. Next blog post--our weekend recap. I feel so much better being caught up on blogging. I've been marking off a lot of things off our to do list lately and it feels so good.
