Strawberry Festival

Saturday, we took the boys to the Stanardsville Strawberry Festival. We took them last year and you can read about that here. We let the boys out of the stroller and they loved running around. The boys got to pet a police dog. Carter pet the dog, but then got a little spooked, so he watched as Evan pet the dog for awhile.

Watching from a safe distance.

They had cloggers performing, which was a lot of fun to watch. The boys were so hypnotized by the cloggers. Evan stopped and watched for the longest time. I think it's the longest he's stayed still for as long as I can remember, but then somebody moved to where he couldn't see them anymore, so he was off running around again.

The boys watching the cloggers.

There was a fun kid section with games and things, so we took the boys over there. They loved the hula hoops and played with them for a long time.

After the boys ran around for about an hour, we had a picnic lunch with some moms from my MOPs group.

This is what the boys looked like at the Strawberry Festival last year! They were so small!

After the boys nap, we went to Bounce and Play to ride the train. They had a special event going on and train rides were only $2.00 and it included the train ride, hot dogs, and ice cream and all the money went to the Wounded Soldiers. The little train goes around the big parking lot and I thought the boys might like it. I think the boys knew where we were and wanted to go inside and play, so they cried when we put them on the train, but as soon as the train took off (and they realized we had ice cream) they were happy and really enjoyed it. All the people shopping in the shopping center and the cars driving by would wave, and I think Carter really got a kick out of that.

Daddy and Evan on the train.

Carter was sitting in my lap, so this was the best picture I got. :(

That was the fun stuff we did this weekend. The rest of the time was spent doing normal, boring weekend things- mowing the grass, grocery shopping, laundry, etc. All the things that have to get done. I hope everybody had a good weekend.
