Play Dates and Fall Treats

Monday morning, my family got up and left to go back to Georgia. We were so sad to see them go. Luckily, we had a play date that morning to keep us busy and take the boys minds off everybody leaving.

I have been trying to get better about menu planning and I've learned that if I don't plan everything out and do the prep work the night before, it's likely not going to happen. So, I was ready Monday morning with all the prep work done and everything set out to make Paula Deen Taco Soup. I love crock pot meals, but sometimes it gets crazy around here in the morning and I don't have a chance to put it on in time for it to cook 6-8 hours. I felt good getting dinner prepared Monday morning, I feel like that's a good start to the week, hopefully I can stick to my menu plan for the rest of the month.

We went to our weekly multiples play date on Monday morning. They had a bounce house set up in the playroom. It was a huge hit with all the kids.

The drum set on the right was also a big hit, all the kids loved taking turns playing the drums.

Carter found another drum to play. There were so many fun toys there, all the kids had such a great time.

After the boys naps, we ran to the grocery store and then let the boys play outside before dinner. It was cloudy and a little chilly, but it was calling for a ton of rain on Tuesday, so we decided to take advantage of being able to be outside.

The boys put buckets on their heads and chased each other while growling. It was so funny.

They had so much fun.

My dad got me this lei from Hawaii to put on my rearview mirror. I had it there and somebody started crying and pointing to it. I think it may be Evan's lei now. :(

Look at the fall goodies I found at the grocery store. A girl that does weight watcher that I follow on Instagram posted these yesterday and I knew I had to try them. I love all things pumpkin and two waffles, a wedge of cinnamon cream cheese, and 1/4 cup sugar free syrup is 7 points. That's about the number I try to stick to for breakfast. I'm going to alternate pumpkin waffles and my pumpkin overnight oats for breakfast. Mmmm....

I also went by the creamer section to grab Greg some creamer and saw they had some seasonal flavors out. I couldn't resist. They also had a white chocolate macademia cookie creamer, but I didn't get it (although I wanted to) I've already tried the smores and salted caramel mocha and they were really good. the salted caramel mocha is almost as good as Starbucks, but so much cheaper.

We had a pretty good Monday. A multiples playdate, some outside time, some shopping, a home cooked meal, and the boys took nice, long naps. :) Plus, Greg has Friday off, so this is a short work week and long weekend--my favorite.
