Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, Wesley Methodist had their Easter Egg Hunt. It was chilly, but it was clear and sunny, so we were happy. It was from 11-1 and we ended up getting there a couple of minutes before it officially started. We met up there with another twin mom and her girls and ran into several familiar faces from church, which was fun. We started off with the egg hunt. There were two different areas, one for older kids and one for toddlers and preschoolers.  They had a big area sectioned off and full of eggs. When you go in, you get a sheet with 6 eggs in different colors on it and the kids have to find those eggs. When you were done, you took your basket to the front and they checked it and if you found all your eggs you dumped them in a box (for the volunteers to spread back out for the other kids to find) and then you got to pick a prize from the prize table. I loved how it was done--all the kids get eggs and it's not the fastest get all the eggs. Plus, the boys loved having their little lists to look at.

We packed a picnic lunch for the boys, which is what Greg is carrying (even though it looks like a "murse") But, they had free hot dogs, chips, and drinks for everybody, so the boys ended up having that instead, so Greg carried that bag around for nothing.

Finding all the eggs on their list.

The boys both picked candy as their prize, Evan got these sugary twizzler type things and Carter picked sour Skittles. They were ecstatic about this candy. There was a guy taking pictures of all the families together after the egg hunt, so I stole this picture of us off Facebook.

There were several inflatables and the boys had to try out each one.

He can't just slide down, he has to jump down!

The Easter bunny was there taking pictures. Evan loves hugs, kisses, etc. so he always immediately runs up to characters like this and hugs them. Carter doesn't like that so much, so he goes over and says hi, he'll stand near it, but he doesn't like to get all touchy feely with anybody.

But, they were both equally excited.

And the boys did great when I said to look at me and smile.

This was right before they came back over to us and I love how Evan is snuggling on the Easter bunny.

Then, it was time for more bounce slides.

They also had cookie decorating stations set up (which we skipped) and a craft table. There were several crafts, but it was so windy, they gave all the kids one craft to make there and then gave us the packages of the other ones to bring home and make when we wanted.

The boys and their bunny masks.

We ended up staying the whole time and we were on our way out when the boys found a big pile of balls. So, they had to play catch with Greg before we left. Evan's goal was to throw the ball as high as he could.

Haha, still working on catching.

Greg and Carter played for awhile. It's been a few months since we've been out and playing catch with the boys and Greg couldn't believe how much better they've got since the last time he's played with them.

After the egg hunt, we went home and watched a movie and napped on the couch. It was so cold and we all just wanted to get under some warm blankets and be lazy. I had big plans to work outside in the yard, but that didn't happen. After we woke up, we did do our grocery shopping and made a trip to Home Depot--we're so exciting.

The next morning, we went to Sunday school and then after that Greg took the boys to the gym and pool while I ran some errands and then came home and studied for a test I have on Wednesday. The boys and I are on spring break next week and I am definitely looking forward to it!

It was another cold morning, so I tried to get a picture of the boys before dropping them off at Sunday school and this was the best I could get. :)
